A Statistical Methodolgy for the Preparation of a Competing Modes Fatigue Design Curve

A methodology is presented for the preparation of a competing modes fatigue design curve. Examples using extruded and isothermally forged powder metallurgy Rene 95 are presented. Monte Carlo simulation results are given to identify sample size requirements appropriate for the generation of reliable design curves.
