The Simulation of a Cartridge Manipulator Based on Virtue Prototype

A new manipulator, designed by the authors, is used to push/pull the cartridge into/out of a drilling jig. It should carry out such actions as rotating, locking, unlocking and separating, etc. Cylindrical cam mechanism and spring steel ball mechanism are designed to fulfill the actions. To determine whether the design parameters are correct ADAMS is applied to the simulation analysis. The results illustrate that the manipulator can work reliably.
