Abstract The temperature dependence of the resistivity, pyroelectric coefficient and dielectric permittivity were determined for the following single crystals, all of which contain hydrogen bonds: RbH2AsO4, (NH2CH2COOH)2HNO3, NaH3(SeO3)2, Ba(NO2)2D2O and [C(NH2)3]Al(SO4)2 6H2O. A mechanism based on the hydrogen bonding was developed to explain an abrupt decrease in the resistivity.
