Verification of Sentinel-1B Internal Calibration - First Results

Sentinel-1B (S-1B) is the second of a two satellite constellation of the ESA's Copernicus program. As already done for its precursor Sentinel-1A in 2014, an independent S-1B SAR system calibration will be performed by DLR parallel to the commissioning phase executed by ESA. This paper shows the first results of the internal calibration evaluation performed with S-1B real data acquired on-ground before launch. First in-orbit results obtained during commissioning phase will be presented at the conference in June 2016.
