A hybrid technique to reduce PAPR in OFDM systems

The fundamental block of wireless communication physical layer is Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). The main issue elevated in OFDM is high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Distinct PAPR reductions have been proposed to reduce high PAPR. Companding technique reduces Out-of-band-interference(OBI) but the performance of BER is poor. Partial transmit sequence (PTS) method is the best method to improve the BER performance. Both the methods improve the performance of PAPR reduction. To increase the performance of PAPR reduction a new hybrid algorithm is initiated by combining PTS and various companding techniques
