New integrated-magnetic DC-DC power converter circuits & systems

New two-bobbin design alternatives to the integration of transformer and inductive functions on single core structures are presented for conventional switchmode power converter circuits, including discussions of the practical design methods followed in the integration processes. Illustrations of application of these methods include buck and boost-derived circuits with integrated magnetics, and how they can be useful in evaluating and mitigating undesirable leakage inductance effects in three-bobbin designs.
