Computational aeroacoustics via a new global conservation scheme

The method of space-time conservation element solution element (STCS) is originally designed for Euler equations or Navier-Stokes equations in CFD. The scheme is found to possess very low dispersion error and handles both continuous and discontinuous waves. In addition, the non-reflecting boundary condition is strikingly simple. It is then tested in several benchmark computational aeroacoustics (CAA) problems from weak linear acoustic waves to strongly non-linear or even discontinuous waves to demonstrate its robustness.
