Bilateral emphysematous pyelonephritis with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.

Emphysematous pyelonephritis is a rare, life threatening disease process characterized by intraparenchymatous or perirenal gas produced by lactose fermenting bacteria. We report a case of bilateral emphysematous pyelonephritis in a man with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
