An unusual cause of nephrotic syndrome and hypertension in a young woman.

The most common causes of adult nephrotic syndromein our country are focal glomerulosclerosis, mem-branous nephropathy and minimal-change disease[1]. There are, however, less common causes to beconsidered [2–8].We describe a 15-year-old Spanish woman withnephrotic syndrome secondary to pre-eclampticnephropathy in association with a total hydatidiformmole, in whom pregnancy was not initially considered.
