The method comprises the steps that a first communication node generates a second positioning reference signal; the first communication node sends the second positioning reference signal, wherein the second positioning reference signal and a first positioning reference signal are different in one or more of the following parameters including the sequence generation mode, the transmission time-frequency resource, the transmission period, the transmission power and the continuous duration. The positioning enhancement method and equipment can help a positioning system improve the positioning precision.
