Defining a digital city strategy in a collaborative way: the case of Kavala, Greece

In this paper, we present the results of the "City as a platform" case study which has been initiated to the city of Kavala, Greece. This is part of the EU-funded Digital Transformation Strategy programme to drive the transformation of the local region into an entrepreneurial ecosystem and into a number of sectors: tourism, agricultural, logistics and ICT leveraging upon citizens' and SME's digital skills and exploiting the local digital infrastructure. A methodology of transforming this strategy into an action plan of operational activities linked to the objectives of the programme, and its first accomplishments, is presented.
