Trends and Vision of Head Mounted Display in Augmented Reality

This article introduces research trends and future visions of head mounted displays (HMDs) for mixed and augmented reality. Specifically, studies on head mounted visual displays, head mounted multi-modal displays, and head mounted sensing technologies for mixed and augmented reality are introduced, and challenges and visions are discussed for the realization of better MR/AR experience.
