Method and apparatus for measuring the cerebral perfusion

A method for measuring the cerebral perfusion of a patient (8) provided with the following steps: continuous long-term derivation and storage of an EEG signal (E) of the patient (8); Cleanup of the EEG signal (E) of artifacts; Power spectral analysis of the artifact adjusted EEG signal in certain frequency bands; Cleanup of the tracks obtained by the Power spectral analysis about a common trend of all the tracks; Detecting deviations (D) of the detrended power values of at least one track of a baseline; and display of significant deviations (D) and / or triggering of an alarm (A) if a significant deviation is detected (D). An associated apparatus (1) comprises an EEG device (2) and a data communication so technically-connected control unit (3) which is adapted for automatically performing the method.
