This paper describes the design, integration, and testing of the Aerodynamics Module within the Integrated Hypersonic Aeromechanics Tool (IHAT), a multidisciplinary optimization (MDO) analysis tool that contains the components necessary to model all the major subsystems and aspects of a hypersonic tactical missile. The Aerodynamics Module is the software component of IHAT that enables calculation of the aerodynamic performance of a vehicle design, as well as pressure loads on the vehicle surface. Re sults from implementation and testing show promising progress toward the integration of a complex analysis process into a user -friendly engineering tool.
