A Parametric Study on the Impact of Uncertainty in Quality Prevention on Joint R&D Performance

The impact of uncertain quality prevention level on the performance of joint research and development is studied for the equipment manufacturing industry supply chain. The profit sharing coefficient, proposed as the quality prevention level, is used to calculate the utility of joint research and development. The results reveal the evolution of supply chain efficiency with quality prevention level. It is shown that there is a dynamic game equilibrium point of quality level, in which the entire supply chain can reach the highest utility. In addition, this influence of quality prevention level on the joint research and development performance of the supply chain is verified by numerical simulation.
