Soft computing issues in the intelligent control of holonic manufacturing systems

This paper analyzes the role of soft computing in the design of holonic control. After a brief introduction to the concepts of holonic manufacturing the design of a multiagent architecture chosen as a case study is presented. Then a behavioral control strategy which integrates several soft computing techniques is presented together with its implementation for the holonic control of the involved agents.
