The invention discloses a method and system for video interaction. The method includes the steps that an interaction display region matched with a playing window is set in a playing page and identification information of a video played in the playing window of a video playing terminal is obtained; according to the identification information, different types of interaction controls correlated with playing time of the video in advance are called, and according to the playing time, the different types of interaction controls are placed in the interaction display region, started and displayed; interaction operation for the different types of interaction controls is monitored, so that instruction information corresponding to the interaction operation is obtained; according to the instruction information corresponding to the different types of interaction controls, the instruction information is counted, interaction statistic result information corresponding to the instruction information is generated, and the interaction statistic result information is displayed in the interaction display region in the playing window of the video playing terminal. According to the method and system, the problem that interaction is separated from the playing window when the video is watched is solved.
