The flotation of gold bearing ores — A review

Abstract The practice of the flotation of pure gold and gold-bearing ores such as tellurides, aurostibite, kerogen, pyrite, pyrrhotite, copper-gold ores and mixed sulphides is reviewed. The factors which influence the choice of collectors, pH and Eh, are discussed as well as the application of differential flotation. The importance of proper conditioning is highlighted and applications of various flotation cells and circuits briefly discussed.
