Adaptive Max-min Fairness Bandwidth Sharing Congestion Algorithm

Bandwidth share and congestion control are very important to both the robustness and fairness of the Internet.The problem of providing a fair bandwidth allocation to the flows sharing a congested link in a switch is investigated.It proposed a bandwidth distribute algorithm based on an optimal control setting,the proposed algorithm limited rate in these ingress ports by the feedback of egress bandwidth utilization,and it redistributes all the ingress traffic bandwidth dynamically,so it can improve resource utilization.By simulations experiments,the proposed algorithms have the follow metrics: 1) highly adaptive,2) max-min fairness,3) respond quickly,4) extremely robust,and 5) stable.
