FDTD analysis of higher‐order‐mode coupling effects in the crossed junctions of a planar slot array

Higher-order-mode coupling effects between radiating slots and coupling slots in centered-inclined and longitudinal-transverse types of crossed rectangular waveguide junctions are effectively analyzed in this paper by using a modified locally conformal finite-difference time-domain (MLC-FDTD) algorithm. The errors arising from this higher-order-mode coupling are given in terms of the equivalent network S parameter. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
