A note on the simultaneous Waring rank of monomials

In this paper we study the complex simultaneous Waring rank for a collection of monomials. Our approach is algebraic and combinatorial. For special collections of monomials, the simultaneous Waring rank is an inclusion-exclusion formula. Moreover, we give an application to ranks of binomials and maximal simultaneous ranks.
