Influence of Parameters of Lead Laminated Rubber Bearing on the Horizontal Seismic Isolation for Long-span Space Truss Structures

In order to improve the horizontal seismic performance of long-span space truss structures,the horizontal seismic isolation method is put forward with regard to the good mechanical properties of the lead laminated rubber bearing,which incorporates the bearing into the structure between the upper space truss structure and the lower supporting structure. The seismic responses of a practical long-span space truss structure are calculated before and after adopting seismic isolation technology using nonlinear time-history analysis method. The influences of parameters of lead laminated rubber bearings on the horizontal seismic isolation of the structure are discussed in detail,on the basis of which the action rules of the horizontal seismic isolation effects of the space truss structure are presented with regard to the changes of parameters of lead laminated rubber bearings such as yield force,pre-yield stiffness and ratio of pre-yield stiffness to post-yield stiffness. Some design suggestions for horizontal seismic isolation of space truss structures are further presented.
