Influence of draw frame speed and its preparatory on ring-yarn properties

The influence of draw frame delivery speed, coiler diameter of card and card draft are found to be significant on ring-yarn properties. With the increase in delivery speed of draw frame and coiler diameter of cards, both tenacity and breaking elongation of yarn increases; whereas U%, total imperfections, hairiness and long thin faults in the yarn decreases. Further, in general, as card draft increases, there is decrease in yarn quality and at lower card draft as delivery speed of draw frame increases, long thin faults sharply decreases.
