Le rechauffement climatique et l'approche geographique

Geographers, climatologists and naturalists were among the fi rst scientists to describe and explain climates. The process of global warming and its effects upon climates has often implied that ‘modelizers’ replace the analysis previously accomplished by geographers on the basis of observation with analyses based on model reconstruction. The role of geographers should, however, be preeminent in research on this fi eld, if only because modelization does not properly fi t the regional and local spheres. The fact is that weather warming implies spatial and temporal contrasts and, as a result, approaches that transcending the global are also required.
