Radiotherapy has an image problem, says a newly created pressure group. The National Radiotherapy Awareness Initiative reports that less than a 10th of people in the United Kingdom regard the intervention as a “modern cancer treatment.” This and other negative views of radiotherapy may be contributing to its underuse in cancer treatment in Britain.
