A method for operating a terminal for supporting gateway change comprises the steps of: receiving, from a network entity, a message requesting consent for gateway change; and according to whether at least one flow requiring session continuity is established or not, transmitting, to the network entity, a response message regarding the consent for the gateway change, wherein if at least one flow requiring the session continuity is established, the gateway change in the network entity may be suspended, on the basis of the response message.
