CONSTRUCTION OF TIMED AUTOMATA FOR TEMPORAL SPECIFICATION OF A DISTRIBUTED MULTIMEDIA SOFTWARE SYSTEM

Significant progress has been made using the finite state machine model for specification based testing of concurrent and distributed systems. However, general principles of system testing can not be directly applied to testing of distributed multimedia software systems on account of their stringent timing and synchronization requirements. In order to support the nondeterministic testing and select timed test sequences from temporal specification of a multimedia software system, this paper presents one solution constructing a timed automata from temporal specification of a distributed multimedia software system.
