A blind central DOA esimation algorithm in radar low-angle tracking environment

A blind second-order statistics algorithm is proposed for the central DOA estimation for radar low-angle tracking. Especially for coherently distributed sources, the integral steering vector is deduced to be Schur-Hadamard product by point source steering vector and a real vector. So a second-order statistics is proposed. And then a closed-form solution to the central DOA estimation is derived. Specifically, the proposed blind estimator needs any prior knowledge about angular signal intensity. It is shown from simulation results that the second-order statistics approach exhibits good estimation performance.
