Power quality; End user impacts

In this article, the problems and solutions of power quality are viewed from different perspectives by the three parties involved: the utility, the customer, and the equipment supplier. The power quality discussed in this paper deals with the continuity of service as well as concerns for transient and steady state aspects of waveshape distortion, as they impact the end-user. This article will also examine the origins of the power quality problem in terms of the types and sources of disturbances, their impacts on customers, and associated remedies.
