A comparative analysis of hybrid-pol algorithms using RISAT data

In this paper, a comparative analysis between two different categories of hybrid-pol algorithms: DoP dependent and DoP independent, have been carried out. These algorithms are compared using pixel based classification accuracy, where the pixels are classified in three basic scattering mechanisms, viz. single-bounce, double-bounce and volume scattering. For performance evaluation of these algorithms, actual hybrid-pol data acquired using Indian RISAT-1 over Mumbai (India) has been implemented.
