The invention relates to a wireless charging system for electric vehicles. The charging system comprises a power supply end connected with a power grid, and a power receiving end arranged on an electric vehicle and connected with a storage battery of the electric vehicle, wherein the power supply end comprises a rectifying unit, a high-frequency inverting unit and a transmitting coil which are sequentially connected in series, and the input end of the rectifying unit is connected with the power grid; and the receiving end comprises a receiving coil and a rectifying unit which are connected in series, and the output end of the rectifying unit is connected with the storage battery of the electric vehicle; and magnetic cores are respectively arranged in the transmitting coil and the receiving coil. The invention further discloses the electric vehicle with application of the wireless charging system. According to the invention, the wireless charging system is applied to the electric vehicle, and an electromagnetic coupling principle is utilized so that electric energy can be efficiently transmitted in a wireless manner, and thus, the problems of easiness for abrasion and poor safety of the traditional contact-type charging manner for the electric vehicles are solved.
