A STOCHASTIC MODEL OF THE EVOLUTIONARY TREND IN QUASI-GENETIC ALGORITHMS

This paper proposes a study of the evolutionary trend in the "quasi-genetic" algorithms. This method is an evolutionary method carried out by the same Authors to solve the level set problems. A formalization of the stochastic and deterministic parameters and a mathematical model of the behavior of the population of individuals are done. An alternative representation of the model is given, too. A case of study is analyzed. The numerical results prove that the growth of the population follows, for a large part of the evolutionary process, an approximately linear trend and the stochastic parameter has a non-uniform distribution.
