Modelling of Ultrasonic Characteristics of Human Liver

Ultrasonic characteristics of various biological tissues have been reported in the literature, but there is a large variation in their values due to effects of temperature, density and other such factors. A theoretical model of ultrasonic characteristics of the soft biological tissues, human liver in this case, is developed. The validity of the model based on the ultrasonic power spectra by Gaussian function is found in good agreement between theoretical and experimental results.
