A fast‐switching, low‐inductance gradient set for motion encoding

We present the design for a fast-switching, three-axis microimaging gradient set. To achieve high slew rates, we have reduced the inductance of the windings sacrificing peak gradient amplitude per unit current. The design suits our motion-sensitized measurements of centimeter-sized samples, which require rapidly switched, but low amplitude gradients.
