Isothermal and Non-Isothermal DC Measurements to Analyze Space Charge Behavior in Polyamide 11

A combined isothermal and non-isothermal measurement technique, consisting of four steps: the isothermal charging current, the isothermal discharge current, the final thermally stimulated discharge current and the final isothermal discharge current was used to analyze space charge injection, trapping/detrapping in polyamide 11. By corroborating the results obtained during the four successive measurement steps, a better understanding of the processes involved in the charge injection and trapping and of the contribution of polarization and space charge effects is achieved.
