The invention provides a climbing robot and a system. The climbing robot comprises a main body, an embedded single-chip microcomputer, a battery and a first WiFi camera, wherein the main body comprises a left electromagnet, a left connecting bar, a first left U-shaped piece, a first joint steering engine, a first mechanical arm, a second left U-shaped piece, a second joint steering engine, a second mechanical arm, a third joint steering engine, a right U-shaped piece, a right connecting bar and a right electromagnet; the embedded single-chip microcomputer is mounted in the first mechanical arm or the second mechanical arm; the battery is mounted in the first mechanical arm or the second mechanical arm; and the first WiFi camera is mounted on the left electromagnet or the right electromagnet. The climbing robot provided by the invention can climb on an electric transmission line tower, so that working personnel doesn't need to spend a long time climbing the tower to find a fault point, the labor intensity is reduced, and the overhaul efficiency and the safety of the working personnel are improved.
