디젤산화촉매장치의 성능 및 배출가스 저감 기술

Diesel vehicles are relatively superior to gasoline vehicles on the fuel consumption, durability and combustion efficiency. However, exhaust emissions from diesel vehicles are known to be harmful to human health and environment. The reduction technologies for the diesel exhaust emissions are classified as alternative fuel, quality control of diesel fuel, improvement of engine and aftertreatment system. The most effective way for the treatment technology is known to be aftertreatment system, and this research is continuously conducted by many groups. The diesel oxidation catalyst system has many advantages of reducing particulates and harmful gaseous substances such as CO, HC, aldehydes, PAN, and nitro-PAH. Moreover, it is simple in device structure, relatively low cost, and easy to install. In this study, the performance evaluation of catalysts have been carried out through different engine test mode. In subsequent engine test, the proper catalyst have been selected through the durability and poisoning test and the catalyst recipe has been defined.
