Analytical tool requirements for power system restoration

This paper is one of a series presented by the IEEE Power System Restoration Working Group (SRWG) on behalf of the System Operation Subcommittee with the intent of focusing industry attention on power system restoration. In this paper a set of analytical tools is specified which together describe the static transient and dynamic behavior or a power system during restoration. These tools are identified and described for restoration planning, training and operation. Their applications cover all stages of restoration including pre-disturbance condition, post-disturbance status, post-restoration target system, and minimization of unserved loads. The paper draws on the previous reports by the SRWG. >
