Editorial for FGCS special issue: Computation Intelligence for Energy Internet

Abstract Energy Internet is a radically new power generation and usage paradigm to tackle the energy crisis and carbon emission, developing a revolutionary vision of smart grid. Crucial aspects of smart energy system to be operated and maintained are the intelligent cooperation of computation and communication. In this direction, to create a complex and intelligent energy system, it is necessary to design and develop ubiquitous and pervasive solutions within this environment such as sensing intelligence, communications intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, etc. The papers of this special issue address a variety of issues and concerns in the Energy Internet research theme, including applications to the wind power forecasting, fog computing techniques, energy IoT solutions, edge computing for green energy, real-time monitoring and communicating for software-defined Energy Internet, energy scheduling and task allocation, data storage security, multi-objective optimization, etc.
