Comparison of different power supply topologies to improve power efficiency of the Artificial Accommodation System

The Artificial Accommodation System (AAS) is a micro mechatronic implant to restore the ability to accommodate in case of cataract or presbyopia. In battery powered systems like the AAS energy consumption is a critical issue. Therefore the energy consumption of the AAS with different power supply topologies is analysed. As the volume inside the implant is highly constrained the power supply must contain as less components as possible.
