Broadband power-equalization amplifier

The paper presents a new method to design microwave gain equalizer with terminal open line resonators. By changing the electrical length of main transmission line in a certain range, the return loss is improved obviously while transmission parameter changes slightly. Comparing to use the traditional method of optimizing by simulation software, this method greatly reduces the simulation time, improves the design efficiency and precision. This paper designs one microwave gain equalizer and one broadband power-equalization amplifier with the method. The frequency is from 2 GHz to 6 GHz, the maximal output power of broadband power-equalization amplifier is 29.2 dBm at 6 GHz, the value of equalization is 10 dB, and the precision within 1.5 dB.
