Analysis on LZW Compression Algorithm and Realization of Fixed-Point DSP

In the built-in data acquisition system based on ARM DSP processor,vast redundant data seriously blocked the system’s data transmission,storage and disposal,and cause severe drawbacks on system performance.Aim to solve the problem,use LZW compression real-time algorithm to carry out data compression through fixed-point DSP,effectively reduced data capacity.In order to improve the compression efficiency,transfer the fixed-decimals to ASCII data at first,and then transfer priority encoding data to string list of the dictionary.Experimental result indicated that the scheme can compress data space,raise utilization rate of system storage and data transmission efficiency.
