A complete dynamics model of locomotive with motor mounted on frame is established by means of SIMPACK.The influence of the driving equipment suspension longitudinal and lateral stiffness on its accelerations and car riding quality is analyzed.It is found that by selecting the numerical value of suspension stiffness at 10 kn·m~(-1),the lateral riding quality and motor work conditions can be improved noticeably,the lateral wheel/rail interaction forces can be deceased effectively.The stability can also be increased obviously.Pendulum suspension is an important measure to realize elastic suspension.The concept of equivalent stiffness is put forward.Under the same equivalent stiffness the results of the flexible model agree well with that of traditional model.
