CONTROL OF CHAOS IN THE HAMILTONIAN SYSTEM OF MIMAS-TETHYS

We have estimated the control term to the order of e2 i (for i = 1, 2, 3) up to the second order of approximations for the Hamiltonian system of Mimas-Tethys (the natural satellites of Saturn), which is close to integrable. By adding this small and simple control term, the perturbed system of Mimas-Tethys becomes more regular than the previous one. This we have shown through the Poincare surface of section, Poincare map, phase plot, and time series analysis.
