DiagnosisPro: The Ultimate Differential Diagnosis Assistant

New Media Diagnosis DiagnosisPro version 2.0 is a software program designed for physicians to enter symptoms, signs, and tests (the authors call them attributes) and obtain a prediction. DiagnosisPro loaded easily from three floppy disks with the Windows 95 operating system. The user's guide states that the program can be used with Windows 3.1, DOS, and with a HP200LX Palmtop. The HP200LX would allow the user to have a portable diagnostic instrument on rounds or in the office. The manual is easy to read with explicit instructions. It contains the chapters "Installation," "Windows Tutorial," "DOS Tutorial," "Review of DiagnosisPro Features," and "Test Cases For Tutorial." The installation was easy with no problems. However, the initial screen was not the same as in the manual. The user's guide shows a screen with five columns. The last three are the attribute condition at either high, low, or inactive.
