Abstract http://ClinicalTrials.gov is a consumer-friendly database developed by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It contains summary information about clinical trials that investigate the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, medical procedures, or other means of treating, diagnosing, and preventing diseases and conditions. Its intended audience includes patients, family members, health care professionals, and the general public.
