Dispersion effects on grating‐assisted output couplers under ultrafast pulse excitations

The effects of dispersion on the performance of finite-length grating-assisted output couplers drien by ultrafast pulses are studied. Two different FDTD formulations of Lorentz dispersion are treated, and both dispersiew aeguides and grating teeth are considered. The impact of dispersion on the output beams is quantified.
