This paper describes the application of a discrete event controller to the simulation of human pilot behavior. The model is calibrated to data collected at a trial conducted at a Boeing 747-400 simulator based at NASA Ames. It is demonstrated that a plausible model of pilot control behavior is constructed and the values of model parameters are similar to those calibrated for a model of human response to a laboratory tracking task.
