Software prober for power consumption analysis of embedded linux applications

This paper presents a software prober for power consumption analysis of embedded Linux applications. The software prober as a loadable Linux kernel module, which collects execution information of an application and analyzes the power consumption of each function for the application by synchronizing the collected execution information with the data from the multichannel power measurement system.
