A study of potential grain productivity and land carrying capacity of China

In this paper, based on a mechanism method, we use meteorological data, soil data and social economic statistical data to calculate county potential grain productivity and land carrying capacity in China. The results show that the sum of Chinese potential grain productivity is 954,618,512.5 tons; the sum of a high level Chinese land carrying capacity is 2,189,492,001.0 persons in 2002.
